This conveyor is a component of one of our complete production lines for the transport of brake drums. It is used to transport and position different brake drums to a handling unit.
The brake drums are transferred from a customer roller conveyor to the accumulating roller conveyors. The incoming brake drums are separated by means of stop and separators and conveyed individually to the centring unit.
The support rollers have a special dimension and were manufactured and hardened especially for this application.
The special design of this centring unit enables the brake drums with different diameters to be prepared in a centric position for the handling unit. The on-site transfer handling unit then removes the brake drums, which are located in the centring unit on the accumulation roller conveyor.
To protect the already coated brake discs, the support rollers have a plastic coating.
